WATCH: Shot of the Day - Nick Kyrgios
The Aussie Nick Kyrgios is one of the more controversial players in world tennis, but there is no doubting his exceptional talent. Here's a perfect example as he earns the 'Shot of the Day' accolade.
Kyrgios has been an umpire's nightmare at times and is well known for his fiery temper and sledging of opponents which has landed him in hot water a number of times.
The most publicised of his misdemeanors was his verbal abuse of his opponent Stan Wawrinks during a court change at the 2015 Rogers Cup which the court microphones picked up.
Kyrgios was fined US$10 000 for the unsavoury comments and personally apologised to Wawrinka.
On review, the ATP also handed down a 28-day suspended sentence for six months and a further US$25 000 fine if he repeated the offence.
But for now, lets hail the exceptional on-court tennis skill of the controversial Aussie in a mixed doubles encounter at the Australian Open.
