Kaizer Chiefs has announced the immediate departure of head coach Stuart Baxter - just 10 months after he returned to the club for a second stint.
Baxter had signed a contract until 2023 with an option to renew it for a further two years, but the club released a statement on Thursday evening confirming that an agreement has been reached for the early termination of Baxter’s contract with immediate effect.
In his second spell, Baxter led the team in 23 matches of which the team managed to win 9, drew 6 and lost 8 in the games.
The team scored 25 goals and concede 23 during that time.
The club says assistant coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard will take charge of the senior team for the remainder of the season.
This will start with the next match against Stellenbosch FC on Saturday, 23 April 2022.
