Comrades champ defends Two Oceans

This is Botha's fourth ultramarathon title after winning the 2019 Comrades Marathon in a time of 5:58:53.

Free State-born athlete, Gerda Steyn has won the women's Totalsports Two Oceans ultramarathon race.
She has now won the race for the third time in her career and it is also her third straight win at the iconic 56km race.
The Bothaville-born Steyn clocked 3:29:42.
She won the race in 2018, 2019 and 2022.

This is Botha's fourth ultramarathon title after winning the 2019 Comrades Marathon in a time of 5:58:53.
The 2022 Comrades is a 'down race' meaning that it will be run between Pietermaritzburg and Durban on 28 August.
Another South African, Irvette Van Zyl, came in second place and clocked 3:30:31.
