'This won't be a Zuma case' says DA on Stevens Mokgalapa DC
The DA in Gauteng says the disciplinary hearing (DC) into the conduct of its beleaguered City of Tshwane mayor, Stevens Mokgalapa, will be conducted as thoroughly and speedily as possible.
DA Gauteng leader, John Moodey says the investigation into Mokgalapa has been concluded with the past weekend's Federal Executive (FedEx) meeting giving the green light for the DV to now take place.
"Unlike the situation with Mr. Jacob Zuma, we would like to ensure that any cases brought against our representatives are dealt with as soon as possible," says Moodey.
Mokgalapa was thrust into the spotlight last year when a recording of him allegedly having sex and discussing council legal battles with MMC Sheila Senkubuge emerged.

Sekunbuge resigned in the wake of the scandal, and Moglakapa was placed on special leave.
"It's just over two and a half months, which is too long in any case for us to have an acting mayor," says Moodey.
However, he cannot say how long the DC will take to conclude.
"With lawfare, you cannot put a timeline to it," he notes, but adds: "We need to resolve this matter as soon as possible."
