West Rand councillor's house attacked with petrol bomb

Police are investigating a case of arson after a house of a councillor in Mohlakeng, Randfontein was petrol bombed on Sunday.

Gauteng Police Spokesperson, Kay Makhubela, says police are appealing for the public's assistance in helping authorities track down the suspects.
He adds during their preliminary investigations, three unused petrol bombs were found next to the house of the victim.
"We are investigating the circumstances to what was used to bomb the house," says Makhubela.
The 58-year-old councillor suffered extensive injuries to his upper body and was rushed to the hospital.
