WATCH: Rubber bullets, tear gas fired at Joslin Smith protes
Police in the Western Cape fired rubber bullets in an effort to disperse an angry crowd demanding to enter the court premises on Wednesday morning.
Police used rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse the crowd after stones were thrown.
Scores of people clashed with police outside court, demanding swift justice for the missing Joslin Smith.
Court proceedings against four accused, including the six-year-old’s mother and the mother’s boyfriend, were set to resume on Wednesday.
The matter was previously postponed to gather additional information.
Smith has been missing for three weeks.
The accused are facing charges of kidnapping and trafficking of a person.
