WATCH: IPID probes deadly shooting involving cop, EMPD offic
The Independent Police Investigating Directorate is investigating the death of an Ekurhuleni metro police officer.
The metro police cop was allegedly shot and killed by a police officer in Braamfontein over the weekend.
A video of the incident has been making the rounds on social media.
IPID national spokesperson Robbie Raburabu says the EMPD officer died on the scene.
"IPID is still investigating the matter. The SAPS police officer shot and killed the EMPD officer, and IPID is still investigating. The investigation is still ongoing."
