The South African Weather Service has warned of the possibility of heavy rainfall over parts of Gauteng, Mpumalanga and North West.

"This week, we are expecting quite a rainfall and at this current moment, there has been quite a rainfall reported in the North West province and the Free State," says forecaster Mbavhi Maliage.
"The rain is starting to affect some places in Gauteng and the southern part of Mpumalanga."
Maliage says they are concerned about waterlogged areas.
"At this moment, there is an alert that has been issued out for a level one disruptive rainfall. Our biggest concern here is areas that have not necessarily recovered from the rain that has been experiencing for the last couple of weeks, they are the most vulnerable areas.
“We are concerned regarding these areas and issued out an alert with a rainfall that is coming later for today.
"The areas of concern are basically eastern North West, parts of Gauteng, and other southern parts of Mpumalanga.
“Going into tomorrow, more rain is still expected, and we are forecasting a possibility of 60% over Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the Gauteng province."
