[WATCH] Technology deployed in search for Soweto boy

Emergency services in Johannesburg emergency services have deployed robots in the ongoing search and rescue operation for a 6-year-old boy who fell down an open manhole in Soweto.

Friday marked the sixth day of the search by Johannesburg emergency services, police, and community members.
Khaya Magadla was playing with friends in Dlamini Park, Soweto, on Sunday afternoon when he slipped into the sewer system.
Joburg emergency services spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said they are doing their best to help the family to find closure.
“This morning we will be going back on site to continue with the search for the young Khayalethu Magadla. This time around we will be deploying some robots to assist us on our search.
“Last night before we called the search off we assured the family that we would do everything in our powers and use all resources to help them find closure.”
