Silverton EMS station fumigated, reopened

Emergency services in Silverton, east of Pretoria, is almost back at full strength following the reopening of the local emergency services station.

The station was temporarily closed after a employee tested positive for Covid-19.

Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso says the station was subsequently deep cleaned and fumigated.
"The night shift at Station 4 will be non-operational, since the affected shift remains in isolation. The area will continue to be serviced by other nearby stations during this period.
"The Emergency Services Department will continue to respond to all emergency incidents reported in the areas covered by the closed station from nearby emergency services stations."
