Updated | By Suné du Toit
The Ethics Institute of South Africa and Massmart on Wednesday revealed the findings of the first South African Citizens' Bribery Survey.

According to the Institute, 20% of South Africans say they know someone who has paid a bribe over the past year.
Here are some of the survey's findings:
- 17% of people pay bribes for jobs
- 31% of people pay bribes to avoid traffic fines
- 13% of people pay bribes to get a driving licence
Now here is the concern...78% of the people surveyed reckon it is not possible to get through life without paying a bribe.
What are your thoughts?
