Pastors to march in Pretoria against closure of churches
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Pastors Against Church Closures will be marching to the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Friday to hand over a memorandum to the presidency.

The march comes after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that all religious gatherings are banned under Adjusted Level 3 lockdown regulations.
Spokesperson for the movement, MoAfrika Maila, says the closing of churches infringes on their constitutional right.
Maila says most churches were not consulted because not all of them fall under the SA Council of Churches.

He says it is also unfair to place the burden of Covid-19 super spreader events on church gatherings.
"W are having all those cinemas, theatres, restaurants, gyms, casinos that are still open but if you look at the church the church is closed.
"We are questioning to say if people can get infected by the Covid-19 in the church, will they not be infected by the same in a theatre?" Maila asks.
The organisation will meet at Church Square at 10:00, from where they will make their way to the Union Buildings.
