Over 170 new Covid-19 deaths in SA

South Africa has recorded 175 more Covid-19 related deaths in its second wave of the deadly coronavirus.

Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, says in his latest report released on Monday evening, that the total number of fatalities has increased to 23 451.
The Eastern Cape remains the province reporting the highest death toll, with the latest a further 93 deaths.
That is followed by the Western Cape, with 32 deaths and the Northern Cape at 20.

The Free State province has also seen an increase of 16 deaths, KwaZulu-Natal and North West each recorded five deaths, while Gauteng saw an increase of four fatalities.
As of Monday, the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases stands at 866 127 with the recoveries now at 762 746.
