Mpumalanga pupils to be laid to rest

On Monday, eleven children from Nelson Ngobeni Primary School were hospitalised with food poisoning with two of them dying.
The funeral services of two pupils from the Nelson Ngubeni Primary School will be held this weekend.

Police spokesperson Leonard Hlathi says while the preliminary post-mortem results have been concluded it cannot be disclosed as investigations are ongoing.
Hlathi says the eleven other pupils also suffered the same symptoms.
"They were also rushed to hospital after complaining of stomach cramps and were vomiting.
According to Jasper Zwane of the Mpumalanga Department of Education, Zamokuhle Maepa ( 6) will be laid to rest on Saturday in Janferse at Malegale Village at Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality.
Busisiwe Mkhatshwa (9) will be laid to rest on Sunday at Hlalanikahle Community Hall at Emalahleni Local Municipality.
"The Department will deploy officials to attend both Funeral Services," said Zwane.
"The investigations into the circumstances that lead to this incident are still ongoing and the result will be made public as soon as they as they are available."
