Limpopo police launch manhunt for murder suspects

Police in Limpopo have launched a manhunt for suspects responsible for the murder of a 48-year-old man in Phagane Village on Thursday.

Police received a complaint about a motor vehicle that was on fire.
Upon arrival, Police found a Volkswagen Polo with a Mpumalanga registration ablaze.
The police also discovered the body of a man a few meters from the vehicle with a wallet with bank cards, a smart identity card and a cellphone.
Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says the motive of the murder is not known.
"Emergency Services personnel and fire brigades were summoned to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
"Upon inspecting the body, it was discovered that the body was tied with a rope. A case of murder was opened. The motive for the incident is unknown and the deceased's identity will be released at the appropriate time."
Police investigations are ongoing.
