Limpopo lawyer set to go on trial for killing his 4 children
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
Limpopo lawyer Senyatsi Phasha has been denied bail by the Praktiseer Magistrate’s Court following his arrest in connection with the killing of his four children.

He allegedly killed his three children by hacking them with an axe and bludgeoned one little child with a huge stone.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Limpopo Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says he failed to show that exceptional circumstances exist to justify his release on bail.
This is not Phasha’s first brush with the law, with Malabi-Dzhangi saying he was out on parole for another murder at time of the latest incident.
"Some years ago, Phasha had been chasing his girlfriend with a gun, accusing her of cheating on him, when he started shooting at her. The bullet missed his girlfriend and struck at neighbour's child.
He was convicted and sentenced to 15 years. He served only five years and he was released on parole.
"He was then released on parole and then allegedly killed his four children after accusing his wife of cheating on him.”
The case has been transferred to the Limpopo High Court in Polokwane, with the trial set to start in September.
