KFC: ‘Food laundering’ story is fake news
Fast food company KFC says reports that a man has been claiming free food for over a year is fake news.
This follows reports that a 27-year-old man from the University of KwaZulu-Natal has been arrested for claiming free food from KFC for over a year, after apparently lying to staff members, saying he was sent from the KFC headquarters for quality assurance.
The article also suggested that it took KFC two years to realise that they were being robbed.
The franchise responded on Twitter:
