High School pupil falls from third floor at school

A male pupil from Ferndale High School in Johannesburg is in
hospital after falling from a third floor balcony on Tuesday morning.

Netcare911 spokesperson, Shawn Herbst, says paramedics responded to reports of a fall at a school in Randburg at around 9 a.m.
"The school staff had provided assistance prior to the arrival of medics. The patient was found to be in a stable condition and was treated on scene by a Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner," says Herbst.
Herbst says once the pupil was stabilised, he was transported by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment.
Circumstances leading to his fall is not yet known.
