Girl (7) among five killed in Eastern Cape crash

Five people were killed when the car they were travelling in lost control and overturned on the R63 in Bedford towards Adelaide.

Eastern Cape Transport Department spokesperson Unathi Binqose said the cause of the crash is still unknown.
A case of culpable homicide docket has been opened for further investigations.
"The vehicle…was travelling from Adelaide towards Bedford with seven occupants, six females and a male, including a 7-year-old girl.
"The driver lost control of the vehicle. It overturned, and four people died on the scene, while one died on arrival at Bedford Hospital. The deceased were four females, including the 7-year-old girl and male driver.
"The two injured females sustained serious injuries and were taken taken to Bedford provincial hospital for further medical attention.”
