Eskom to implement stage 2 & 4 rolling blackouts 'until furt
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Embattled power utility Eskom will implement stages 2 and 4 of rolling blackouts for the week ahead.

This as varying stages of loadshedding were also implemented through the weekend.
"Stage 4 load shedding will be implemented from 4pm on Sunday until 5am on Monday," said Eskom in a statement.
"Stage 2 load shedding will be implemented from 5am until 4pm. This pattern will be implemented daily until further notice. Eskom will publish another update should any significant changes occur.
"Breakdowns have reduced to 15 798MW of generating capacity while the generating capacity out of service for planned maintenance is 3 099MW."
The utility said over the past 24 hours, a generating unit each at Grootvlei, Kendal, Kriel, Majuba and Medupi power stations were returned to service.
"The delay in returning to service a generating unit at Kendal and two generating units at Tutuka power stations is contributing to the current capacity constraints. Eskom teams are working tirelessly to return these generating units to service."
