At least 20 people have died on various roads in Gauteng and North West over the past few days.

The deadliest crash was reported on the N12, some 30 kilometres outside of Wolmaransstad.
Eight people were killed, and several others left injured on Sunday night when a taxi crashed down an embankment.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says a 3-year-old boy was among the fatally wounded.
“ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi on the side of the road. Several people were found scattered on the side of the road.”
“The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
Another six people died on Sunday following a head-on collision on the N12, outside of Potchefstroom.
“One patient came from one vehicle, while seven patients were found lying around the second vehicle,” says Meiring.
“Medics assessed the patients and found that six people, including a three-year-old boy, had sustained numerous fatal injuries. Nothing could be done for them, and they were declared dead.”
