Body of toddler recovered from unused Joburg swimming pool

The emergency management services in Johannesburg have recovered the body of a two-year-old boy in an unused swimming pool in Roosevelt Park.

According to the Joburg EMS, the toddler was reported missing early yesterday morning.
It is understood he went missing after playing with his friends in the yard.
Emergency services were called in and started their search in the unused swimming pool in the yard.

The body of the child has been handed over to police for further investigations.
Joburg EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi is urging residents to ensure swimming pools are always covered while not in use.
