The City of Johannesburg Emergency Services responded to an abandoned building fire incident in Industria West, on Friday.

The factory is reportedly illegally occupied, and used as a storage for recycled clothing and other miscellaneous material.
The Johannesburg Emergency Services spokesperson, Xolile Khumalo says 15 men, thought to be recyclers, escaped the fire unharmed.
"The details of the Owner are not available and the case has been handed over to SAPS," she added.
This incident follows on the heels of a building fire in Midrand, where a woman died in Broadwalk Urban Village in Midrand.
The building was engulfed by a fire on Tuesday evening, affecting approximately 130 apartments.
Some residents sustained injuries while attempting to escape the fire.
