Stevie Nicks has thanked Taylor Swift for helping her navigate through the pain of losing a dear friend, Christine McVie.
Christine died last year November aged 79.
“Thank you to Taylor Swift for doing this thing for me, and that is writing a song called 'You’re On Your Own, Kid,’” Nicks said during a concert this week in Atlanta.
Stevie says the song captures her feelings.
“That is the sadness of how I feel," she said.

'You're on Your Own, Kid' is one of Taylor's most loved songs on 'Midnights'.
It talks about facing life on your own.
"You're on your own, kid
Yeah, you can face this
You're on your own, kid
You always have been."
Stevie explained how special her relationship with Christine was.
“As long as Chris was, even on the other side of the world, we didn’t have to talk on the phone. We really weren’t phone buddies,” Nicks said.
“Then we would go back to Fleetwood Mac, and we would walk in and it would be like ‘little sister, how are you?’ It was like never a minute had passed."
She says their friendship lasted for over four decades and they always got along.
"Never an argument in our entire 47 years.”

Following the passing of her dearest friend, Stevie penned a heart-warming tribute to Christine.
"A few hours ago I was told that my best friend in the whole world since the first day of 1975, had passed away. I didn’t even know she was ill… until late Saturday night. I wanted to get to London but we were told to wait. So, since Saturday, one song has been swirling around in my head, over and over and over. I thought I might possibly get to sing it to her, and so, I’m singing it to her now. I always knew I would need these words one day (written by the Ladies Haim). It’s all I can do now," she wrote on Instagram.
