Killing Eve: Third season premieres this Women’s Month

Spy thriller starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer scoops eight Emmy Award nominations.
The third season of the award-winning spy-thriller series 'Killing Eve' will premiere on Fox (DSTV 125 and StarSat 131), on Wednesdays at 20:45 CAT from 26 August, directly after the second season ends the previous week. The series scooped eight Emmy Award nominations last week with both lead actresses Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer being nominated for Best Actress in a drama series, Fiona Shaw nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a drama series, and the show itself being nominated for the Outstanding Drama Series award. The series is also available on DSTV Catch up.
'Killing Eve' is a story of two women, bound by a mutual obsession and one brutal act: Eve, an MI6 operative, and Villanelle, the beautiful, psychopathic assassin that she has been tasked to find. The third season continues the story of these two women with brutal pasts, addicted to each other but now trying desperately to live their lives without their drug of choice. For Villanelle (Jodie Comer), the assassin without a job, Eve (Sandra Oh) is dead. For Eve, the ex-MI6 operative hiding in plain sight, Villanelle will never find her. All seems fine until a shocking and personal death sets them on a collision course yet again. The journey back to each other will cost both of them friends, family, and allegiances... and perhaps a share of their souls.

Based on the novels by Luke Jennings and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, 'Killing Eve' combines brutal mischief making and pathos, is filled with sharp humour, originality and high stakes action. The third series starts with Eve attempting to rebuild her life having been shot and left for dead in Rome by Villanelle. Villanelle, believing Eve dead, is also moving on. That is until she is approached by an old foe offering her a brand new opportunity. Carolyn is being undermined at work and Kenny can’t leave his own investigation into The Twelve alone.
"'Killing Eve' continues to intrigue and astound audiences with its intricate storylines, complex characters, high-speed pace and relentless twists and turns. It is no surprise that it was recognized with so many Emmy Award nominations this year. Given that this series has not been available in South Africa before, we are excited to broadcast the third season directly after the second” said Evert van der Veer, Vice President, Media Networks, The Walt Disney Company Africa.
