Justin Timberlake was originally meant to play Mr Schue on 'Glee' - a character who was a meth addict.
'Glee' was one of the most successful American musical comedy-drama TV series.
What many people don't know is that what was aired on TV was not the original script of the show.
In a recent interview on 'And That’s What You REALLY Missed' podcast, creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the series was originally "NC-17 Version of Show Choir".

The Emmy-winning Fox musical series, which aired from 2009 to 2015, first came to Ryan as an inspiration from a guy he met at gym.
“Like serendipity, I went to the gym and I was in a towel and a guy went up and handed me a script and he said, ‘I had a feeling you were in show choir, am I right?’ And I was like ‘Yeah.’ And he said, ‘My friend wrote this script and you should read it.'”
He revealed that the "friend" was Ian Brennan, who later became the co-writer of 'Glee'.
Ryan says the script did not quite meet his expectations as it was too dark for FOX network television and he wanted something optimistic.
“Mr Schue, I believe, was a crystal meth addict in Ian’s script. The NC-17 version of show choir with a weird protagonist who was unraveling…I just need something optimistic,” he said.
Ryan went on to reveal that not only did he change the script, but he also had Justin Timberlake in mind for Mr Schue's character.
"When we were writing the pilot, I’ve never really talked about this, that pilot was written for Justin Timberlake. Mr Schue was written for Justin," he said.
He didn't explain why Justin didn't end up playing the role.
Throughout the series, the role was played by Matthew Morrison.
