Jim Carrey took 'good care' of late ex-girlfriend
Jim Carrey "took really good care" of late ex-girlfriend Cathriona White and treated her to a belated birthday dinner just eight days before her death.
The 53-year-old actor reportedly took the Irish make-up artist out for a belated 30th birthday dinner at Nobu Malibu just eight days before her body was discovered at her home in Sherman Oaks, California on September 28.
A source said: "Jim was generous to her and took really good care of her."
While they had an on-again, off-again relationship, the 'Dumb and Dumber to' star was aware that Cathriona, who died of suspected suicide, was separated from cameraman Mark Burton, who she married in Las Vegas in January 2013.
The insider told Us Weekly: "As far as Jim was concerned, Cathriona was separated. She was going to start divorce proceedings in December. There is no way that Jim Carrey would have taken her out to public places if he thought she was married."
The LA County Coroner's office previously revealed Cathriona left several suicide notes and four different kinds of medication, including Ambien, Percocet, Zofran and Propranolol, were found at the scene.
While some of the medication allegedly belonged to Jim, another source insisted he had no idea the brunette beauty had taken them from him, adding: "Jim didn't even realise until a couple days later because it's not something that he took on a regular basis."
