Dolly Parton flattered by drag queens
Updated | By MornéJK jk
The '9 to 5' singer is famous for her bright blonde hair, bold make-up, costume jewellery and bountiful breasts and her unique look has inspired many cross-dressing men to copy her look, something she is pleased by.
She told The Times Magazine: "I have many gay friends and a lot of my business people are gay. I have a huge gay following and there are a lot of Dolly drag queens out there, and I'm always flattered by that."
Dolly, 69, has revealed her style was inspired by the local "trollop" where she grew up in Locust Ridge, near Greenbrier Valley in the Great Smoky Mountains.
The country music legend said: "There's a trollop in every town. We would go to town when I was a little bitty kid. I would see this woman and I thought she was beautiful. She had yellow hair piled on her head, make-up, red-lipstick, long fingernails, high shoes. And I thought, 'That's what I'm gonna be when I grow up.' "
