'Devastated' - Demi-Leigh Tebow pays tribute to Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst
Demi-Leigh Tebow shared a touching tribute to Cheslie Kryst, who fell to her death from a high-rise building in New York.
Former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow ( née Nel-Peters) says she is in disbelief following the death of Miss USA 2019, Cheslie Kryst.
The 30-year-old died on Sunday after falling from a 60-story building in New York. Cheslie reportedly lived on the ninth floor of the building.
An NYPD official told E! News that her death appears to be a suicide. The official cause of death has not been released.
Demi-Leigh crossed paths with Cheslie at various pageant events. She shared several pictures of Cheslie on her Instagram Story.
"Devastated and in disbelief. Rest in peace beautiful, Cheslie. Prayers and deepest condolences to your sweet family," Demi-Leigh wrote.

Former Miss South Africa, Zozibini Tunzi, also paid tribute to Cheslie. She says she is "devastated" by the news.
"I didn't sleep a wink, caught in between not believing the news and trying to make sense of what is happening. You were supposed to send me photos of the outfit you were going to wear to a wedding this past Saturday and all the details that happened at the event. You took me by surprise Queen. I am not ready for a world you don't exist in," Zozi wrote on Instagram.
The 28-year-old added that she hoped Cheslie was resting easy.
"You meant everything to so many people and you forever will. You made a mark in this World and touched so many lives. We celebrate your life. I love you so, so much my forever friend and forever Miss USA."

Zozibini got to know Cheslie after she was crowned Miss Universe 2019. The beauty queens shared an apartment together during their reigns.
Cheslie was a qualified lawyer. She also worked as an entertainment correspondent for ExtraTV.
