The rapper continues to mourn the passing of his late fiancée, Anele 'Nellie' Tembe.
It has been a year since the passing of AKA's fiancée Anele Tembe.
The rapper has taken to social media to share his grief.
"I’ll remember this day for the rest of my life. 11/04/2021," he wrote on Instagram.
Anele died while she was with AKA in Cape Town. She reportedly fell from the tenth floor of the Pepperclub Hotel.
AKA says since the passing of his late fiancée, he has continued to pray for healing.
"Everyday I pray for the healing of your family and my family. I hope one day we can all come together and pay our respects to you and your memory at the same place and at the same time," he said.
AKA's mother, Lynn Forbes, has also spoken about the pain Anele's passing has caused her family.
She posted a photo of Nellie on Instagram expressing the pain she has been feeling.
“It’s been the most difficult year, time heals but the scars will remain forever. I wish I could take your pain away, Kiernan, I continue to pray for peace and the healing of both families," she wrote.
Lynn thanked those who have continued to show support to them as a family.
"I’m grateful for all the love and support we have received in the midst of the pain and the daily challenges we face,” she wrote.
