"We should all be treated with decency and humanity."
South African singer and guitarist Jonathan Butler recently became a victim of racism.
The jazz and RnB star shared his experience on Instagram, saying he had dinner with friends at one of the restaurants in Napa Valley, California where they received unfair treatment.
Butler, who is also an international star, said he visited the restaurants with a group of his friends because they were performing in the neighbourhood.
"I have to say, we had a great dinner and the bill came and I paid the bill and we took care of the waiter. As we were leaving the restaurant, the manager of the restaurant decided to follow me to my car. I turned around and said "what is the problem" and he asked me this question 'Did I take care of our server?'" said Butler.

The singer says the manager followed him because he is black.
"I've never been followed out of a restaurant in my life and so he showed so much lack of respect for me and for all of us," he said.
"I don't think he will do that to a white person , but he did it to me. He felt comfortable to come up to me to tell me that he came to find out if I took care of his server and so, with that being said , it's offensive, it's highly disturbing to me.
"We have to get rid of this mindset. Just because of the colour of my skin and how I dress, he has to follow me to my car. This got to stop. this whole racist division.
"The server came, shook my hand and gave me a hug."
The singer called for justice.
"We should all be treated with decency and humanity," he wrote on Instagram.
