Tickets to AKA's memorial service snapped up within three hours of release
AKA's memorial service takes place this Friday.
Legendary South African rapper, AKA, real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, will be laid to rest this coming Saturday, the family announced on Tuesday.
AKA's father, Tony Forbes, said the funeral will be private, however, fans will get a chance to bid the star goodbye at a memorial service that will be held at the Sandton Convention Centre.
He said the free tickets could be booked on Webtickets.
However, within three hours of his announcement, the tickets were all taken.

AKA's father response to social media speculation
Ever since the passing of AKA, social media has been buzzing with speculation of what led to his shooting.
Several videos of his shooting have been doing their rounds on social media, with people analysing who the killer is.
On Tuesday, AKA's father asked people to refrain from making "dangerous statements".
“We do not condone what is being said about his friends and those making dangerous statements. We appeal to them to cease from doing so,” Tony Forbes said during a press briefing.
He also tried to address speculation that AKA's friends had something to do with the killing.
“The close friends that he has, they have been at our side just like they have been with him since Friday evening,” said Forbes.

Over the weekend, police in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) also called for calm.
“As the police, we would like to plead with residents to keep calm and allow us the space for work. The motive of the killing has not been established yet so if there could be any revenge attack that could be premature and that will be illegal as well as we don’t want anybody killing anybody in the name of revenge,” KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said.
“We have not found the killers and we don’t know what the beef they have against the deceased or anything to that effect. So we’d like to plead with community members to give us the space to work and keep calm and not be up in arms. We want justice as the police and we can only work towards justice if the community cooperates with us, providing us with valuable information that could link us to the suspects," police said in a statement.
AKA was shot and killed on Florida Road in Durban on Friday night. He died alongside his friend Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane.
The world continues to mourn his passing.
