It looks like Drake will be following up a successful 2016 with and even bigger 2017.

BuzzAngle reports that the rapper's album, 'More Life', is this year's most streamed album, with the rapper topping the 'Total Consumption' list.

The album broke streaming records when it was released in March. The offering sold 505,000 units in its first week.

Billboard reported at the time that 257,000 of his total sales were generated from streaming equivalent albums - which worked out to 384,8-million streams.

'More Life' debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.

The album has produced several hit singles, including 'Fake Love', 'Signs', and 'Passionfruit'.

BuzzAngle's streaming data also shows that Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' was a top performer in the first half of 2017.

The album's lead single, 'Shape of You', was number one on the 'Songs By Sale' tally.
