Could one of these singers be the next big Afrikaans superstar?
Afrikaans reality singing competition, 'Die Kontrak', is into the final stretch - meet the Top 4.
Over the last few weeks, a variety of South Africa's biggest musicians teamed up to look for the next big Afrikaans singing sensation - and it's almost time to crown a winner.

Brother-and-sister duo, Bobby and Karlien van Jaarsveld, are the presenters of 'Die Kontrak', which airs on VIA TV (DStv channel 147) every Wednesday at 20:00. The competition is currently in the top four stage and the four aspiring music stars were picked from about 2,000 online auditions after a countrywide talent search.
These musicians were assigned a celebrity coach who helped them wow South Africans over the last couple of weeks. The coaches are Elvis Blue, Tarryn Lamb, Monique Steyn, and Dewald Wasserfall.

1. Ivan Roux
AGE: 28

CAREER: MusICIAN
COACH: Dewald Wasserfall
My grootste hoop vir my musiekloopbaan is om met mense te praat. Ek het ’n ruk terug vir die Here gesê, “Gebruik my.” My musiektalent is ’n godsgegewe gawe. Ek het in die verlede dit op die verkeerde maniere gebruik: Ek wou altyd net entertain, entertain. En toe een dag voel ek die Here lê dit op my hart dat hy my wil gebruik deur my musiek. 3. Demi-Lee Moore

CAREER: Musikant
COACH: Monique Steyn
Ek sing voltyds al vir amper tien jaar. Ek was in die verlede by ’n ander platemaatskappy en ek was op ’n sangkompetisie – en elke keer het ek gevoel dit was net nie my tyd nie. En dié jaar voel ek dit is my jaar.
4. Deidré Barnard
AGE: 16
FROM: Strand
CAREER: Student and singing teacher
COACH: Dewald Wasserfall
Ek dink Afrikaanse musiek het ’n jong, energieke, nuwe persoon nodig en ek dink ek kan daai persoon wees. Ek dink die feit dat ek jonk en alternatief is, maak my interessant. En musiek is wat ek wil doen en ek gaan nie ophou voor ek my doelwit bereik nie.
