Single women buy more property than any other group in Gauteng
The majority of people buying property in South Africa are single women, according to research group Lightstone.
Being single is not a deterrent to individuals who want to buy property, as it is all about how much you earn, what you can afford, and your credit history.
Being in a dual-income relationship might help your chances of securing a home loan, but it is not always a guarantee.
A report by the research group Lightstone states that almost 72,000 single women bought residential properties in South Africa in 2018, with the majority of them buying in Gauteng.
They outnumbered married couples and single men.
According to the report, single men bought 62,000 properties.
However, according to the report, married couples purchased properties with the highest value, followed by single men.
