Top ten cereals containing high levels of sugar

These cereals might be popular and tasty, but they are not the healthiest on the market.
A few months ago, a study by Wits University revealed that most baby foods contained unacceptable sugar levels.

Now, a new report by Business Tech has found that some of the most popular cereals - mostly loved by kids, contain high levels of sugar, too.
According to Healthy Food Guide, a healthy cereal should contain fewer than 15g of sugar per 100g. Sadly, a report by Business Tech, which looked at 40 of the most popular cereal brands, found that almost half have sugar content that makes up a quarter of a typical serving.
Below are the ten cereals that were found to have the highest levels of sugar:
- Bokomo Otees Cream Soda - 38.6g per 100g
- Bokomo Otees Mixed Berry – 33.5g per 100g
- Kellog’s Strawberry Pops – 33.1g per 100g
- Kellog’s Coco Pops – 33.1g per 100g
- Bokomo Otees Chocolate Flakes – 31.9g per 100g
- Nestle Bar One – 29.7g per 100g
- Nestle Honey Cheerios – 29.2g per 100g
- Bokomo Otees Bubblegum – 29.9g per 100g
- Kellogs Coco Pops Crunchers - 29.0g per 100g
- Bokomo Otees Apple – 28.4g per 100g
