Ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, honey, and lemon flavoured tea

Many of us love a good cup of tea in the morning.
Tea has been proven to have many health benefits.

“Tea contains a high amount of flavonols and flavonoids, antioxidants and L-theanine with is a powerful antioxidant and adaptogen. Tea has the ability to increase neural activity which induces focus as well as offset the effects of stress. It simultaneously calms and focuses you. Because it is an adaptogen it also provides more oxygen to your cells which gives you energy," says tea expert Jessica Bonin, the founder of Lady Bonin's Tea.
The other good thing about tea is that it can be spiced and flavoured in many ways.
One of the best ways to enjoy tea is to mix it with ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, honey, and lemon.
Ginger has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is known for helping fight off flu and common cold symptoms.
Turmeric is great for dealing with pain and inflammation, while cinnamon is loaded with antioxidants.
All these mixed with honey and lemon make a delicious, healthy tea.

Recipe (Makes four cups)
Ingredients
Four cups of boiling water
2 Rooibos tea bags
2 Tablespoons of freshly grated ginger
1 Teaspoon turmeric
½ Teaspoon cinnamon
2 Fresh lemons
4 Teaspoons honey
Method
Boil water in a pot
Put tea bags
Add ginger
Add turmeric
Add cinnamon
Squeeze the lemon juice
Serve with a teaspoon of honey per cup.
