You can now make payments on WhatsApp

Great news for Nedbank users. The bank has introduced a new payment method using WhatsApp.
Are you a small or micro businesses owner who banks with Nedbank?
Here is good news for you. Nedbank, together with Mastercard and Ukheshe, has launched its Money Message service.
The new payment platform enables consumers to pay small and micro businesses via a secure in-chat payment using WhatsApp.
What's also exciting is that merchants can send an invoice requesting a payment from any customer through WhatsApp and customers can also settle a payment directly from the platform.
The bank says the move is aimed at helping entrepreneurs.
"In order to support entrepreneurship and sustainable business growth across all markets, we need to deliver low-cost, accessible, and flexible solutions that leverage widely accessible technologies. Money Message looks to overcome a variety of cost, security, and technical barriers by enabling micro-merchants and their customers to transact with each other easily on an existing platform, which is WhatsApp," Chipo Mushwana, Executive: Emerging Payments at Nedbank, told Ventureburn.
