No need to worry about typing your status, now you can simply just record it!
WhatsApp is one of the most used social media platforms around the world.
According to statista, as of 2022, WhatsApp is the most popular global mobile messenger app worldwide with approximately two-billion monthly active users.
It allows users from all corners of the world to keep in touch.
The app has so many great features including chatting, writing status updates, and sharing photos and videos with people from all over the globe.

What's great about the app is that it is always updating its features to ensure users get the best experience.
Its latest feature, Voice Status Updates functionality, allows users to record voice statuses.
This means you no longer have to worry about typing long texts, misspellings, or people not understanding your tone. Now you can record your status so that it is loud and clear.
The feature was first tested in January and has finally been implemented.
How it works
The feature lets users record and share short audio messages as status updates, but this is limited to 30 seconds long.
Similar to the status update feature, your voice status will be audible to anyone you've given permission to view your regular posts, photos, or videos.
The feature is currently accessible on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.2.8.
To use the feature:
- Click on status.
- Select the edit button like you would if you would write a status.
- A microphone-looking icon under the status bar will appear.
- Long press on it to record.
- Record for up to 30-second and then release.
- You will have an option to send or delete.
