Can’t live with them, can’t live without them, you guessed it…girlfriends. And believe it or not, there’s an entire day dedicated to the girl’s; August 1st is National Girlfriend’s Day.
We put together a list of fun things you and your girls can do, in Gauteng, to celebrate this amazing and well deserved day.
A movie date
When last did you enjoy a good movie, with great company? This Girlfriend’s Day, ditch the cinema and go to The Bioscope instead, and yes, they still exist. Visit The Bioscope in Johannesburg’s Maboneng Precinct for a range of alternative and independent movies at just R45.

You can never go wrong with a good old shopping spree, but this time, buy gifts for each other instead, every girl could use an extra pair of shoes or a new hand bag.
Spa
If you’re the type of girl that likes taking it easy, then a relaxing day at the spa would be right up your alley.
