No special effects here — bike nut Richie Trimble really is sitting more than 14 feet (4.2m) above the ground and pedalling along Venice Boulevard on his homemade 100-pound cruiser appropriately named Stoopid Tall.
He pulled the stunt off at Los Angeles CicLAvia on Sunday. "Everyone looks at you like you're nuts, and they’re right!" says Trimble, "My mom even said so!" But this dedicated biker and professional cinematographer has no qualms about the strange looks he got explaining that he's dedicated to "making smiles."
