Stuck South Africans given once-off ticket to ride
South Africans who were not at home or at work when the national lockdown begun in March have seven days to travel.
The provision for once-off travel between provinces kicked in on Friday.
Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma published the provisions in the Government Gazette.

The government has made provision, under level four of the lockdown, for people who were not at home or work when the national lockdown came into effect.
The regulation states that people can now move within provinces, metros and districts during the national lockdown.

“Any person who was not at their place of residence, or work before the lockdown period and who could not travel between provinces, metropolitan and district areas during the lockdown, will be permitted, on a once-off basis, to return to their places of residence or work and will be required to stay in such place until the end to the Alert Level 4.”
No permit will be required for the movement, says Dlamini-Zuma.
