Ramaphosa to meet with business sector
Updated | By Nokukhanya N Mntambo
President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to meet with business leaders in Pretoria on Sunday.
The meeting forms part of a series of consultations by Ramaphosa following last week's declaration of a state of disaster.
Last Sunday, Ramaphosa declared a state of national disaster last Sunday, introducing several regulations to help curb the spread of coronavirus, including travel bans on passengers from high-risk countries.
"These leaders will have an opportunity to outline the impact of the disaster on businesses and the economy at large, and engage recommendations to mitigate the impact of the outbreak on the economy at large," says a statement from the Presidency.
"The engagement with business forms part of a series of meetings the President has held with various stakeholder constituencies, including communities of faith and the nation’s political leadership."

Later on Sunday Ramaphosa will also chair a meeting of the National Command Council which will receive an update on the COVID-19 outbreak.
