The 'La Tomatina' Food Fight Festival saw thousands of people catapulting overripe tomatoes at each other!
After a two-year hiatus, the 'La Tomatina' tomato fight returned to the streets of Bunol, Spain for its 75th year.
Dubbed by many as the "largest food fight in the world", 'La Tomatina' sees thousands of people coming together to "catapult" tomatoes at each other.

According to CCN, six trucks loaded with more than 140 tons of overripe tomatoes drove through the streets of Bunol, distributing the tomatoes to more than 15,000 festival goers.
As one would guess, the festival did not take place for two years due to COVID-19 regulations.
The official 'La Tomatina' website states that the festival started back in 1945. The festival stemmed from a conflict at an annual parade held for musicians, giants, and people wearing large heads.

A few youngsters caused a parade goer, wearing a large head, to fall. This sparked havoc as angry crowd members began throwing tomatoes they found on a nearby vegetable stand.
