Uber and Bolt trips now cost R1,000 due to strike
Some of the demands of the drivers include improved earnings in the midst of petrol hikes, an end to exploitation, and the safety of all e-hailing drivers and riders.
The strike action is now impacting commuters.

According to Jacaranda FM News, the shutdown will include drivers of Uber Eats, Bolt, Uber, and associated services.
Social media users have been sharing images of how much their trips are costing them due to the increased demand and fewer drivers.

Some 15-minute trips could cost up to R700, and 30-minute trips could cost around R1,000.
The strike will continue until Thursday when there will be a complete national shutdown, and the e-hailing services will be unavailable.
