Have you heard Zander Fourie’s ‘Hello Cyril’ song?
Zander Fourie went viral during lockdown for his ‘Lockdown Babelas’ song. Fourie released the song in June after President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that liquor sales will resume for home consumption only.
Fourie took the popular 2002 Jak de Priester hit, 'Sally Williams', and changed the words slightly.

He is singing a completely different tune now. A few weeks after he released the hit song, the sale of alcohol was suspended again. This has prompted him to release another song, this time to the beat of Adele’s ‘Hello’!
Zander, also known as ‘Tjoppie’, jokingly pleads in the song: “Ek belowe dat die keer almal hulsef sal gedra en hulle dop beheer. Hello, is jy daar? Asb oom Cyril maak die bottelstoor weer oop.’
