"Let go, let God" - Tatjana Schoenmaker wins Gold at Olympics
South African Tatjana Schoenmaker smashed the long-standing women's 200m breaststroke world record on Friday to win the Olympic gold medal.
South African swimmer Tatjana Schoenmaker (24) claimed South Africa's first Olympic gold medal in Tokyo as she won the women's 200m breaststroke final on Friday, setting a new world record in the process.

Schoenmaker touched the wall in a time of 2:18.95.
Schoenmaker made history by becoming the first South African female swimmer to win an Olympic gold medal since Penny Heyns at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.

Schoenmaker spoke to Breakfast with Martin Bester hours after her incredible win.
"It feels unreal. I cannot wait to go home to just get a hug," Schoenmaker mentioned.
Schoenmaker added that she would like to celebrate her win with a big braai.
